Jakarta, March 26 2019. BNI Syariah provides an option to pay off the Hajj Implementation Fee (BPIH) through mobile banking. This is after the Ministry of Religion (Ministry of Religion) began in 2019 to open the option of paying the pilgrimage through non tellers.
The option of repaying the pilgrimage through non tellers is in accordance with the Director General's Decision on the Implementation of Hajj and Umrah Number 117 2019 which was set on March 18, 2018.
In the Director General's Decree for the Implementation of Hajj and Umrah it is mentioned that the repayment of the regular BPIH is divided into two stages. Repay the first stage from March 19 to April 15 2019. While the second repayment takes place between April 30 to May 10, 2019.
Dhias Widhiyati, SME Business Director and Commercial BNI Syariah admitted that currently there are still not many who make repayments using non tellers or mobile banking.
"Based on the data to date, a total of 13,046 pilgrims who paid off the Hajj both tellers and non-tellers," said Dhias, Tuesday (3/26).
With the BPIH repayment feature in BNI mobile banking, it is hoped that more pilgrims will pay off through non tellers. Projected until the end of the second hajj repayment period or at the end of May 2019 as many as 10% of the pilgrims will use the mobile banking channel option.
"Customers can use BNI mobile banking services to pay off BPIH, simply by selecting the Regular Hajj Repayment menu," said Dhias, Monday (25/3).
With the option of paying the Hajj through mobile banking, Dhias hopes to provide convenience and alternative repayment of BPIH and reduce queues at tellers.
BNI Syariah has been appointed as one of the BPIH deposit recipient banks (BPS) since 2010. There are around 29 thousand pilgrims who are both regular and special pilgrims who make repayments this year.
If pilgrims want to pay off the Hajj by using BNI mobile banking, there are several steps that can be taken.
First go to the other service product menu in mobile banking, then select the regular Hajj repayment menu. Then select the account to be debited and enter the portion number and check the suitability of the data and password. The final step is to download the receipt in the transfer proof menu.
After paying off through BNI Mobile Banking, customers can immediately report to the local Ministry of Religion by bringing proof of repayment.
